Firewatch is set in the state of Wyoming. It was granted statehood on July 10, 1890.[1] To this day, it considered the most obscure state in the continental United States due to its minuscule population in comparison to other states in the union.[2]
Thorofare Lookout, Thunder Canyon, and Two Forks Lookout Area are all in Wyoming.
